MediaHandler Content-Type

to choose which implementation of IMediaHandler will be associated with a BrowserNode (that is : an element loaded in the media navigation browser) The browsing provider or the file handler should describe the type of the content of the file.

It is not the duty of the content-type to describe the codecs used within the files, but it must describe the container for those media streams.

Here are listed all the known content-types

Audio

audio/mp3 : music streams as found as in a .mp3 file.
audio/ogg : music streams as found as in a .ogg file.

Video

Codec information is not described in the content-type

video/matroska : video content as found as in a .mkv file.
video/avi : video content as found as in a .avi file.

Pictures

Binary

binary/application : executable application
subtitles/srt streams representing subtitle definition as found in .srt files.
